GRAFTON DISTRICT GOLF CLUB NEWSLETTER - AUGUST 2011 |
New Fee Structure for 2011-12 Membership.
After the recent Board meeting the following fee structure was decided upon for the 2011-12 membership year. Competition and green fees remain unchanged for the new membership year and a modest increase in the membership fees to cover increases in running costs has been implemented.
Playing Member $350. Promotional Tier 1 $150. This allows 12 competition games for the year at playing membership rates.
Country Member $180. Promotional Tier 2 $250. This allows 24 competition games for the year at playing membership rates.
Clergy $180 Colt $190
Monday Beginner $80 Junior Tier 1 $35
Social Golf Club $30 Junior Tier 2 $75
Social $10 Prepaid Green Fee $570
As in the previous year, members can choose to pay by the month by direct debit for a small monthly fee of $3.30. You can direct deposit into the club's bank a/c the full annual fee or you can pay at the bar by credit card, cheque or cash. Credit card payments will incur a 2% surcharge to cover bank fees. Those paying the prepaid green fee must pay the total membership before 30/09/2011 to be eligible for this benefit.
With our new computerised membership and competition system, unfinancial members will be unable to enter events and play in competitions after 31/10/2011. I encourage you to be financial before the 01/10/2011 so as not to cause any embarrassment to our bar and pro shop staff.

Bean on the Green Brasserie and Function Centre.
Our new caterers, Greg and Anne from the Naked Bean are pleased with the refurbishment of the restaurant area and are now open for a full catering menu. New chairs, tables, carpet and a paint job has revitalised the restaurant area. Lunch and dinner is available Wednesday to Saturday and Brunch on Sunday for your culinary pleasure.

Veterans Big River Week Of Golf.
This event is shaping up to be the best one yet with over 80 entries already received for the four day tournament. The major sponsor for the event is the Espana Motel in conjunction with the Clocktower Hotel. With a great list of prizes and a great reputation as being one of the best run Vet Tournaments on the calendar, you should get your entries in early to secure your spot. See John Kliendienst or John Tibbs for further information. |
Further Clubhouse News.
Our Friday night raffles and Joker Jackpot continues to draw good crowds. With $500 up for grabs at 6pm every Friday night and the Joker currently sitting at $1350 it's no wonder. Bean on the Green has been providing terrific $10 meals (my favourite is the pie) and there are also great accolades for the curry. Why not come out to see what's on at the Club and you could end up being a whole lot richer for the effort. There are also some new poker machines in the gaming room that you could try your luck on and there is also the keno promotion where for a $10 investment, you go into a draw for an FJ Cruiser.
