Shez began playing golf in 2001 at Woolgoolga’s Safety Beach club in because Safety Beach was a small club there was no beginner’s classes so Shez was thrown in at the deep end. Her handicap quickly went down and by the time she went to Bribie Island in QLD in 2004 she was playing golf in the low 20’s. While she was in QLD she played at Caboolture & Bribie Island & these courses improved her game so when she came to Grafton in 2005 she was down to below 20. Shez has played in Division 1 since joining Grafton club and has come close on several occasions to winning, but the title has eluded her until this year. Wednesday is the main day for Shez but occasionally she plays on Saturday & joins the party girls, Nettie Carol Chrissy & Janeen, & is grateful for their continued encouragement & support. Shez works for RSL life care at home as a community nurse and would like to thank her Manager Pattie Iredale for her support of her staff who are actively involved in the community in sport. Ian Thompson Shez’s partner has been a great support during the year & encourages her to take her golf to new heights and is very proud of her achievement in winning the championships this year.Congratulations Shez Good things come to those who wait.
